A Mindfulness and Meditation based Program for Stress Management

This 6-week group program is suited for clients with stress, anxiety, depression, chronic pain and sleep-related issues and teaches the participants basic relaxation, mindfulness and meditation practices aimed at building resilience to deal with stress, anxiety, and day-to-day issues.

Relaxation, meditation and mindfulness can lead us to an inner space of awareness and presence. By becoming more present to ourselves, our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, we can make new choices in our life rather than reacting out of old patterns.

 

A different relaxation and mindfulness exercise will be taught each week so that you can experience different techniques and over the six weeks find a practice that works for you. In addition to the experiential practices, mindfulness and its applications in various areas of life will be explored to assist you in developing mindfulness as a way of life. Research data supports the effectiveness of mindfulness and relaxation techniques to help reduce stress and anxiety and to promote general psychological well-being.
