General Terms and Conditions for Appointment Bookings

When booking an appointment with Self Growth Institute, you are deemed to have understood and accepted the terms and conditions as outlined below. Please read these Conditions of Sale carefully before using the Website (www.sgipsychology.com.au). 

By using the Website, you are agreeing to be bound by these Conditions of Sale.

All prices are in Australian dollars and are specified on the Self Growth Institute website.

All online, in person and telephone bookings require pre-authorisation, credit card capture or payment at the time of booking.

Pre-authorisation (pre-auth)

A pre-authorisation is a temporary hold of a specific amount of the available balance on a credit/debit card. The pre-authorisation IS NOT A CHARGE.

At the time of booking an appointment with a Psychologist, an authorisation hold will be secured on the credit/debit card provided to cover eventual cancellation or non-attendance costs (see below “Refunds and Cancellations”)

We place an authorisation amount of $87.45 on a customer’s card. These funds will not be available for use by the card holder until the pre-authorisation is released from the credit / debit card.

Pre-authorisation is normally valid for 1 to 5 days (sometimes longer) on debit cards, while credit card pre-authorisation periods can be longer and vary between issuers. The pre-authorisation expires if funds are not captured (i.e. if there are no cancellations or there is no non-attendance)

After the pre-authorisation expires funds become available once again to the cardholder.

Credit Card Capture

Self Growth Institute may choose to collect a credit card number from clients to confirm an appointment time without actually charging the card at the time of booking.
Credit card capture are used only to enforce our cancellation policy by charging a fee of $84.80 for missed appointments

Refunds and Cancellations

Appointment bookings can be changed up to 24 hours prior to the original appointment time (our Psychologist has set aside this time specifically for you) only by telephoning or in person at Self Growth Institute.

Failure to give a minimum of 24 hours’ notice of a cancellation, or non-attendance of an appointment will incur a cancellation fee of $87.45.

Non-attendance or cancellation without 24 hours’ notice, or failure to pay the cancellation fee may result in your Psychologist terminating treatment at his/her discretion

Cancellations due to Self Growth Institute errors will result in refunds. If a cancellation of this nature occurs after a client credit card has been charged, Self Growth Institute will refund the charged amount to the client credit/debit card.

Online payments privacy policy

In order to operate the Self Growth Institute online-payments system, we need to collect and store personal information that you submit to us via this online-payments website or that you give to Self Growth Institute in any other way.

Please read the following privacy policy to understand how we use and protect the information that you provide.

This online-payment system is provided by Self Growth Institute third party suppliers. By submitting your personal information, you are consenting to Self Growth Institute holding and using it in accordance with this policy. The policy is subject to change and any changes to it in the future will be notified on this page.

We recommend that you check the privacy policy each time you visit this site.

When purchasing from Self Growth Institute website your financial details are passed through a secure server. For credit card bookings through our website we use Stripe as the payment gateway.

Information you give us

We receive and save any information that you enter on our website or give to us in any other way. You provide most of such information when you make a payment or set-up a recurring card payment or when you communicate with us for any other reason.

This information may include your date of birth, name, email address, phone number or financial details.

You can choose not to provide information, although it may be needed to make a payment.

How we use your information

Personal data collected as part of the payment process will be held primarily to settle your order.

This data will be retained by reputable third-party banking and distribution institutions who handle our customers’ card transactions and order fulfilment and may be used for any of the following purposes: accounting, billing and auditing, administrative and legal purposes, security and payment verification.

Data Security

Self Growth Institute and its third party suppliers have endeavoured reasonably to ensure that access to information provided and the payments you make whilst using this site are secure. We work to protect the security of your information during transmission.

You should be aware that the computer that you use to attach to the online-payments system (via a web browser) must also be secure, and include the latest operating system, software and anti-virus updates.

Disclosure of your information

Except as set out in this policy or as required by law, your personal data will not be provided to any third party without your prior written consent.
